The New Orleans bash will begin with a parade featuring the New Trad Octet marching band and three of the famous Kern Studios floats -- the King, the Jester and the Fatty Ox. Then, Mardi Gras expert Arthur Hardy will discuss the history and traditions of Mardi Gras festivities. In addition chef Tory McPhail of the renowned Commander’s Palace restaurant in New Orleans will make spectacular southern cuisine including corn-fried oyster po’boys and boiled crawfish. Then, Buckwheat Zydeco, a band that has become synonymous with Louisiana and Mardi Gras will perform funky Creole party music live on the Plaza
