The Jazz Centennial Celebration will host "Satchmo Club Strut", a club crawl in the Decatur-Frenchmen Street music corridor on Friday, August 3rd from 7 pm to 2 am. For the price of a $20 wristband, jazz lovers will be admitted to a number of New Orleans' premiere music clubs, featuring top jazz bands honoring the Louis Armstrong legacy for one special night. (This event is free to participants of the Louis Armstrong Centennial Conference).

The "Satchmo Club Strut" is a fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the New Orleans Jazz Centennial Celebration's jazz education programs. The NOJCC is a tax exempt organization created in 1994 by the Louisiana Music Commission to develop its statewide school and community touring jazz education programs. Tickets are $20 and they may be purchased in advance through TicketWeb, or by calling 1-866-468-7630, or from Snug Harbor and Palm Court on the evening of the event.
