A New Orleans legend, Fats Domino was one of the first blues artists to successfully cross over to the pop charts in the 1950s and 60s, releasing almost 20 top 20 singles, including "Ain’t That a Shame" and "Blueberry Hill," both infused with his boogie-woogie style piano playing offset by his laid-back vocals.
