- Return of the Neville Bros
The Neville Brothers first post-Katrina performance in New Orleans will take place at the 2008 Jazz Fest. NOLA's "first family of funk" will hold down their traditional "fest closing act" spot on Sunday, May 4th.
- Jazz Fest Expands to 7 Days
Jazz Fest has added Thursday to the second weekend schedule. Fest dates for 2008 are April 25-27 and May 1-4.

Neville Brothers Pass - perennial closing act The Neville Brothers will skip Jazz Fest for the second year in a row. Actor/crooner Harry Connick Jr. will fill in for The Nevilles as the 2007 Fest closer.
Stompin' Grounds after a year in exile in Memphis, the Ponderosa Stomp will return to New Orleans on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the House of Blues (6pm - 2am). Confirmed performers include Wardell Quezergue, Dan Penn, Dale Hawkins, Little Jimmy Scott, Augie Meyers, Skip Pitts, Barbara Lynn, Al "Carnival Time" Johnson, Lazy Lester, Willie Tee, Rockie Charles, Jay Chevalier, Roy Head, and Joe Clay. Additional artists TBA.
Come Early, Stay Late - the 2007 French Quarter Festival is scheduled for April 13 - 15, 2007. The annual free event showcases the Big Easy's cuisine and music in multiple French Quarter locations.
Go West - the 21st annual Festival International de Louisiane takes place in Lafayette, LA from April 25 - 29, 2007. The 5-day event features six music stages, food courts, street musicians and animators, arts and crafts boutiques, art galleries, beverage stands, cultural workshops, cooking demonstrations and more.
