Performances st the 54th Annual Grammy Awards included a dance/electronica medley featuring Chris Brown, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta, and Lil Wayne. Legendary New Orleans musician, bandleader, composer, producer and arranger Dave Bartholomew was among the recipients of the 2012 Grammy Trustees Awards. Read more. 2012 additions to the Grammy Hall of Fame included Mahalia Jackson's 1956 recording of "Precious Lord, Take My Hand". Jeff Beck was nominated in the Best Rock Album category for "Rock 'n' Roll Party Honoring Les Paul". The album features a guest appearance by Trombone Shorty. It includes a cover of the Ted Daffan classic "I'm a Fool to Care". Chris Brown was nominated in the Best R&B Album category [Grammy winner] for "F.A.M.E." The album features a guest appearance by Lil Wayne on the track "Look At Me Now". Lil Wayne also shares writing credits on the song. Gregg Allman was nominated in the Best Blues Album category for "Low Country Blues". The album features backing from Dr. John on piano. Warren Haynes was nominated in the Best Blues Album category for "Man in Motion". The album features backing from George Porter Jr. (bass), Ivan Neville (organ, clavinet, backing vocals), and Raymond Weber (drums). Steve Earle was nominated in the Best Folk Album category for "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive". The album features guest appearances by Tracey Griffin (flugelhorn), Jon Gross (tuba), Roland Guerin (bass), Michael Brown (euphonium), and Sammie "Big Sam" Williams (trombone). Allen Toussaint provided the horn arrangements. Tinariwen was nominated in the Best World Music Album category [Grammy winner] for "Tassili". The album features a guest appearance by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band's Gregory Davis and Roger Lewis (on the track "Ya Messinagh"). "True Blood: Music from the HBO Original Series Volume 3" was nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media category. The album includes the Slim Harpo track "Te Ni Nee Ni Nu." Another track, "She's Not There" (performed by Neko Case and Nick Cave) was produced by C.C. Adcock, and features backing from Jon Cleary on piano and Keith Frank on bass and accordion. The "Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album" category was dropped as of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. A new category was introduced, "Best Regional Roots Music Album," which covers the dropped categories of "Best Hawaiian Music Album," "Best Native American Music Album," and "Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album".
