Cash Money Gives Back: Ronald 'Slim' Williams, Bryan 'Baby' Williams, Mannie Fresh, and Lil Wayne will host the 5th annual Cash Money Turkey Dinner Giveaway on Tuesday, November 25, 2003. The Cash Money Records team, with Mayor Ray Nagin, will be on hand to give-away 2,000 25lb. turkeys, and Thanksgiving trimmings to those less fortunate in their home town of New Orleans. The Johnnie and Gladys Williams Foundation, named after the parents of Cash Money Records CEO's Ronald and Bryan Williams, will sponsor the annual Turkey donation. Read more.

Birdman Gets Suit, But No Jewelry: Bryan "Baby" Williams failed to pay $82,000 in jewelry bills, according to a lawsuit filed October 29 in Florida circuit court; Baby allegedly ordered a $23,500 pendant made out of gold and diamonds to form the initials BM; he also ordered nine gold diamond studded pendants inscribed with "Cash Money Records", worth $54,000 total, the lawsuit said; the suit filed by King's Jewelers in Bay Harbor Islands (near Miami Beach), alleges Williams ordered, approved, and suggested modifications for the custom jewelry, but then failed to pick up or pay for his order; Cash Money Records was also named in the suit.

Juvenile Back: in an interview with MTV after the Source Awards, Juvenile publicly confirmed that he is back with Cash Money Records, and he is set to release his next CMR CD on Dec. 23rd; he added that he is toying with the title, "Juvi the Great", but we will have to wait and see; Universal Records does list the album as having a 12/23 release date, with a title to be announced; based on their track record, we will also have to wait and see if the 12/23 date holds.
Big Tymers on 106 & Park: the Big Tymers will appear on BET's "106 & Park" on Friday, Oct. 24th (repeats on Saturday and Monday); spot should feature a performance and their new video (see TV Page).
Big Tymers on DFX: the Big Tymers are taping an interview for MTV's "Direct Effect" on October 21st; it is set to air next week (either October 28 or 29); DFX airs on MTV at 7:00 pm (Eastern) and 6:00 pm in NOLA.
Birdman Wins Source Award: congrats to Baby who picked up the "Trendsetter of the Year" award at last night's (Oct. 13) 2003 Source Hip-Hop Music Awards held in Miami; 50 Cent was the big winner, but the most noteworthy item is the fact that the show actually went off without major incident.... see list of winners; photos of Juvenile.
Wayne on Rap City: Lil' Wayne is scheduled to appear on BET's "Rap City" on Monday, October 13th (4 p.m. Eastern; 3 p.m. in NOLA).
Source Awards Update: Missy Elliot, Sean Paul, Baby, Bonecrusher, Clipse, David Banner, Elephant Man, Erykah Badu, Fat Joe, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Megan Good, Pharrell & The Neptunes, Scarface and Mobb Deep will be among the attendees at the 2003 Source Hip-Hop Music Awards; hosts will be Treach (of Naughty By Nature) and actress LisaRaye; scheduled performers include Nelly & Murphy Lee, Fabolous & Tamia, Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, Cam'ron & The Diplomats, Youngbloodz, Wyclef, Trina and Ja Rule; rap legend Kurtis Blow will receive the Source Pioneer Award.

New Turk Album: Turk's latest studio album - "Raw & Uncut" - is now due for release on October 21, 2003 on the Koch Entertainment label; Koch also released B.G.'s "Livin' Legend" earlier this year; recent releases have included CD's by Magic ("On My Own") and Soulja Slim ("Years Later.. A Few Months After").
2003 Source Hip-Hop Awards: Cash Money's Baby (aka Birdman) received 3 nominations for this year's Source Hip-Hop Awards -- "Artist of the Year - Male Solo", "Single of the Year - Collabo" (for "What Happened To That Boy", featuring Clipse); "Trend Setter of the Year"; the awards ceremony takes place in Miami on October 13th; the show will air as a two hour special (taped) on BET on November 11, 2003 (8:00 pm, Eastern)
Boo & Gottie: Cash Money Records has released the debut album by Chicago rap duo Boo & Gotti; "Perfect Timing" was released on August 26, 2003; it features guest appearances by R. Kelly, Lil' Wayne, Baby, TQ, and others; prior to signing with Cash Money Records, the pair worked with R. Kelly, Jermaine Dupri, Ja Rule and the Big Tymers.
